BACHELOR OF HOTEL MANAGEMENT AND CATERING TECHNOLOGY (BHMCT), KERALA 2024-25
For those students who are interested in a career in hotel management, the BHMCT, or
Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, is the ideal starting point.
Undergraduate students can take the four-year course, which covers topics including food
production, food and beverage services, business communication, management, front office
operations, and others. The BHMCT degree is current and up-to-date with current needs since the
practical and industrial training positively supports the theoretical courses.
During the current academic year 2024-25, allotment for admission to BHMCT Course
will be made in the Single Window System of Centralized Allotment Process (CAP) to the
institutes having AICTE approval, NOC of Government and University affiliation for the
academic year 2024-25. Allotment will also be made to new institutions/ additional seats
sanctioned before the Centralized Allotment Process (CAP) and fulfilling the above
requirements.

Academic Eligibility
- The candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) conducted by the Board of HSE Kerala or examination equivalent.
- Selection Process
- Selection to Government Seat
- The student should qualify the entrance examination (KHMAT) conducted by LBS Centre for getting admission to the Government seat. LBS Centre will be preparing a rank list based on the score obtained in the entrance examination (KHMAT).
- Selection to Management Seat
- Admission to management seats can be done directly by the management. But the students who are getting admitted should have a valid KHMAT score or score of any recognized national level entrance examinations for BHMCT course and other academic eligibility prescribed by the affiliating university.
- No claims whatsoever regarding reservations or fee concessions will be considered after the closing date of application. Certificates in the e-district format can also be used.
HOW TO APPLY
- Application Fee for General and SEBC candidates is Rs.1200/
- SC/ST candidates -s Rs.600/-
- The pattern of examination is as follows:
- Basic Mathematics
- Communication Skill
- General Knowledge and Current Affairs
- Hospitality and Catering Technology awareness
- Number of Questions-90
- Mode of questions-Objective type multiple choice.
