National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) is a compulsory test for students seeking admission to National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) Bhubaneswar and University of Mumbai - Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CEBS), Mumbai. Both NISER and UM-DAE CEBS were set up by Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India in 2007. Their mandate is to train scientific manpower for carrying out cutting edge scientific research and for providing input to scientific programmes of Department of Atomic Energy and other applied science institutions in the country. NEST 2021 will be conducted in around 90 cities across India.

COURSES OFFERED


  • NISER offers a 5 year integrated M.Sc. programme in Biological, Chemical, Mathematical and Physical sciences.(NISER functions from its own campus at Jatni. Degrees at NISER will be awarded by the Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI), a deemed-to-be University within the Department of Atomic Energy.)  200 Seats.


  • CEBS offers a 5 year integrated M.Sc. programme in Biological, Chemical, Mathematical and Physical sciences. The degrees at CEBS are awarded by the 150-year old University of Mumbai. 57 Seats.
Eligibility criteria for admission

Candidates must qualify all four eligibility criteria listed below:






  • Candidates in General and OBC category should be born on or after August 01, 2000. The age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ ST/ Divyangjan candidates.

    • Class XII qualifying examination should be passed in either 2019 or 2020. Candidates appearing in 2021 are also eligible. (Where only Letter Grade is given by the Board, a certificate from the Board specifying equivalent percentage marks will be required. In the absence of such a certificate the decision of the respective Admission Committees will be final.)
    • At least 60% marks in aggregate (or equivalent grade) in Class XII (or equivalent) examination from any recognized Board in India. For Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) candidates and for Divyangjan candidates, the minimum requirement is 55%.
    • Candidate should secure a position in the NEST merit list.
    Important Dates

    • Date of examination :  June 14, 2021 (Monday), 9:00 AM – 12:30 PM (first session) and 2:30 PM – 6:00 PM (second session). The candidates will be assigned to one of the two sessions

    IIM RANCHI -IPM 2021

     

    The ninth Indian Institute of Management was established at Ranchi in 2009. This was made possible with the extensive support of the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta and the Government of Jharkhand, working under the guidance of Ministry of HRD, Government of India.

    The Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) of IIM Ranchi is a full-time 5-year blended course of business studies from undergraduate to postgraduate level (Integrated BBA-MBA). Students will be awarded a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at the end of the programme.

    The intake for IPM 2021-26 batch would be 120 (Reservation applicable as per GoI regulations after meeting the minimum eligibility criteria.).


    ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

    • Candidates should have passed the 10th standard/Secondary/SSC Examination and the 12th standard/Higher Secondary/HSC Examination (or equivalent) with 60% (55% for candidates from SC/ST/PwD) or more marks. The percentage of marks obtained by the candidate in the 10th and the 12th standard would be calculated based on the Board’s regulations. If there is no such regulation regarding aggregate marks from the concerned Board, then the aggregate marks of all the subjects that appear in the grade sheet will be considered for calculating the passing percentage. There will not be any age limit for the applicants.
    • Indian Nationals and PIO/OCI Card Holders are eligible to apply for the program.
      Foreign citizens without a PIO/OCI card are not permitted to apply.
       

    ADMISSSION PROCESS

    • Admission to the programme will be based on SAT exam scores, a written ability test, a personal interview, and overall academic performance at the secondary and the higher secondary levels.
    • About SAT
    • Applicants are required to take the SAT. For more details about the SAT, please refer to https://collegereadiness.collegeboard.org/sat?navId=gf-sat.

      SAT is conducted five times in a calendar year. Traditionally, it is held in March, May, August, October, and December. For test dates and deadlines or to register for an upcoming SAT exam, please visit https://collegereadiness.collegeboard.org/sat/register/international.

      SAT is held in over 70 cities and 73 test centers in India. Students can appear for the SAT multiple times. You may look for your nearest test location at:

      https://collegereadiness.collegeboard.org/sat/register/find-test-centers. You will, of course, need to choose India in the “Select a Country or Region” option.

      All applicants will need to send us their official SAT scores through their College Board account. While you take the SAT, you will have the option of directly sending the scores to IIM Ranchi for free. You will have to give the SAT code. The SAT code for the Indian Institute of Management Ranchi is 9109.

    • SAT Fee Discount

      SAT offers discounted exam fees based on your family income. If your annual family income is less than INR 8 lakhs, you become eligible to receive an SAT fee reduction voucher and get a 90% reduction. If your family income is more than 8 lakhs but less than 15 lakhs per year, you are eligible to receive a 50% reduction.       Important: To receive the discounts, you will need to register for the SAT before February 28, 2021.

      Applicants will be shortlisted based on their SAT scores and invited to the next stage. Here you will take a Written Ability Test (WAT) and take a Personal Interview. WAT and PIs will be conducted at six cities: Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Ranchi. If the pandemic situation and travel restrictions continue, only the PI process will be conducted virtually online.

      Candidates are evaluated based on their performance at all stages and their prior academic performance at the secondary and the higher secondary levels. 120 students with the highest composite scores will be offered admission to the programme.

    HOW TO APPLY

    • The application process for the IPM is entirely online. You may apply before or after you take the SAT. However, your application will remain incomplete until we receive your official SAT scores from the College Board. The application fee is INR 2000 (INR 1000 for applicants belonging to the reserved categories).

      The application link will be available soon. Interested candidates are advised to register for the SAT at the aforementioned website, at the earliest, preferably before  February 28, 2021 to benefit from discounted SAT exam fees (subject to their eligibility). The application process specifically for IIM Ranchi may be completed when the link for the same becomes available later.

    MILITARY NURSING FOR GIRLS 2021

     JOIN MILITARY NURSING SERVICE BSc (NURSING) COURSE - 2021


    Courses Offered

        Applications are invited from FEMALE CANDIDATES (only) for admission to 4 years B Sc. (Nursing) Course commencing in 2021 at Colleges of Nursing of Armed Forces Medical Services. Candidates will be awarded admission in Colleges of Nursing based on the merit cum choice, subject to medical fitness and the vacancies in each College. The selected candidates shall execute an Agreement/Bond to serve in the Military Nursing Service. On successful completion of nursing training (4years), the candidates will be granted Permanent/Short Service Commission in the Military Nursing Service, under the terms and conditions laid down for grant of such commission. They shall have to refund the Bond money as per the Bond executed in the event of withdrawal from the Course, termination of training or refusal to accept Commission in the MNS, if offered. During training they will be provided with free ration, accommodation, uniform allowance and monthly stipend as per terms and conditions as amended from time to time. 

    Educational qualification

    • Only female candidates who have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology are eligible to apply. They should have scored an aggregate of not less than 50 % marks in the final exams and should have passed the exam in the first attempt.

    Selection Procedure

    • The selection will be based on the merit of the candidate at an All India level.


      A written objective type of examination will be conducted in February/ March every year, at certain selected centers (Published from time to time.) Successful candidates will be called for an interview at selected centers in the month of April/May each year. Candidates must be declared medically fit. The fitness will be determined by a Medical Board of Military Medical Officers. Merit listed candidates based on the interview and medical fitness will be called for B. Sc. (Nsg) course. The students undergoing BSc nursing training will be granted permanent and Short Service Commission at a ratio of 60:40 based on their merit. The short service commission students are required to execute a bond of agreement to serve in the Military Nursing Service for a minimum period of 5yrs on successful completion of the course.

    Written Examination Centres

    • The written examination will be conducted in selected centres all over India.

    Stipend and Uniform Allowances: 

    • A stipend of Rs.250/- per month is given during the four years of training. A initial outfit allowance of Rs 800/- is given on joining the course and a outfit renewal allowance of Rs 300 per year during the 2nd, 3rd and 4th year of the course.

    • Only the Eligible candidates will be able to pay the online application processing fee of Rs 750/- (Rupees seven hundred and fifty only). On successful completion of online payment a bank reference number (DU Number) will be generated for the future correspondence of the candidate.

      CLAT 2021Application Form has been started from 1st January 2021 through online mode. Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) exam will be managed by the Consortium of National Law University (NLU). CLAT is a national level law entrance exam conducted for admission to Under Graduate (UG) & Post Graduate (PGLaw Programmes. Students can take admission in various prestigious law colleges and institutions through CLAT Scores. CLAT Scores are considered by various Government & Private Law Colleges in India.
