⚠ 2026-เตฝ VITEEE-เตฝ เดเดฆ്เดฏเดฎാเดฏി Negative Marking! เดถเดฐിเดฏാเดฏ เดเดค്เดคเดฐเดค്เดคിเดจ് +4 marks, เดคെเดฑ്เดฑാเดฏ เดเดค്เดคเดฐเดค്เดคിเดจ് −1 mark. เดเดค്เดคเดฐം เดฐേเดเดช്เดชെเดുเดค്เดคാเดค്เดคเดคിเดจ് penalty เดเดฒ്เดฒ. Total Marks: 500 (125 questions × 4).
- Negative Marking Introduced (Historic First): VITEEE 2026 marks scheme: +4 for correct, −1 for wrong, 0 for unanswered. Previously VITEEE had no negative marking (+1/0). Total marks increased from 125 to 500. Number of questions (125) and duration (2h 30m) remain same.
- Only One Attempt: Candidates can appear only once for VITEEE-2026. Any violation (appearing multiple times) will lead to cancellation of application and admission.
- No Application Correction After Submission: VIT does not provide correction facility. Test city cannot be changed after submission. Fill carefully.
- Slot Once Booked Cannot be Changed: Book your preferred exam date and city during OTBS slot booking — no changes allowed afterwards.
- NIOS/Open School Also Eligible: Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by NIOS (with minimum 5 subjects) is accepted — clarified in 2026 guidelines.
- No Management Quota: Admissions are strictly merit-based on VITEEE 2026 rank. No management quota, no agents, no outside representatives.

NRI applicants: Apply under NRI Category through NRI application form at admissions.vit.ac.in.
Foreign applicants who studied abroad: Apply through the International application form (available separately on vit.ac.in).
- Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1st July 2004 are eligible
- Date of birth as recorded in High School / SSC / Class X Certificate will be considered authentic
- Original certificate must be produced as proof of age at the time of counselling/admission — failing which candidacy for admission will be disqualified
- Final examination of 10+2 system from any recognized Central/State Board (CBSE, CISCE, State Boards etc.)
- Intermediate or 2-year Pre-University Examination from a recognized Board/University
- GCE examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at Advanced (A) level
- High School Certificate from Cambridge University / Pearson Edexcel (regulated by UK)
- International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB) — IBO Geneva
- NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling) with minimum 5 subjects — recognized
- Class 12 completed outside India: equivalence certificate required at counselling
- Minimum 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in qualifying exam (+2/HSC/Intermediate)
- Minimum 50% marks in Mathematics individually (not just aggregate)
- Eligible for all B.Tech programmes (when attempting MPCEA stream in VITEEE)
- English as one subject at Class 12 level
- Minimum 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in qualifying exam
- Minimum 50% marks in Biology individually
- Eligible for Biotechnology-related programmes only (list in Programmes section below)
- PCMB candidates (all 4 subjects) can choose either MPCEA or BPCEA stream in VITEEE
- SC/ST candidates — must produce valid SC/ST caste certificate at counselling
- Candidates from Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh
- Candidates from Northeastern States: Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura
- Certificate of community/nativity must be produced at counselling, failing which they will NOT be considered for admission
- Candidates born before July 1, 2004 are not eligible
- Candidates who have studied via Correspondence / Distance mode (exception: NIOS with 5 subjects is accepted)
- Candidates who appeared for multiple board examinations in the same academic year are not eligible
- Indian nationals cannot use JEE Main / SAT / any other exam scores for VIT B.Tech admission — VITEEE is mandatory
- Candidates appearing VITEEE more than once will have their application and admission cancelled
- Improvement / Privately appearing candidates: eligible to apply and appear — must produce their marks sheet at counselling/admission

Two streams: MPCEA (PCM — Mathematics-Physics-Chemistry-English-Aptitude) and BPCEA (PCB — Biology-Physics-Chemistry-English-Aptitude). Choose your stream at the time of application.
