What is ITEP & Why Choose It?
NEP 2020Save 1 Year
Traditional path: 3-yr Degree + 2-yr B.Ed = 5 years. ITEP: Degree + B.Ed together in just 4 years.
Dual Degree
Earn both an UG degree (BA/BSc/BCom/BTech) AND a B.Ed. simultaneously in one programme.
Premier Institutes
Study at IITs, NITs, Central Universities, RIEs and Government Colleges — top-tier institutions.
NEP 2020 Aligned
ITEP is a flagship programme of NEP 2020. From 2030, B.Ed from ITEP will be mandatory to teach in schools.
School Teaching Ready
Graduates are directly eligible for school teaching jobs (Govt & Private) across India — no additional degree needed.
More Opportunities
NCET score is valid across all 223 participating institutes. One exam, many options — like NEET/JEE for teacher education.
๐
Important Note — NEP 2020 VisionAs per NEP 2020, from 2030 onwards, only candidates with a 4-year ITEP degree will be eligible for school teaching. Getting into ITEP now puts students ahead of the curve in the transformed Indian education landscape.
