        The Indian Maritime University (IMU) was established on 14th November 2008 as a teaching-cum-affiliating university under the aegis of the Ministry of Shipping, Government of India, with Chennai as headquarters. It was set up to promote maritime studies, training, research and extension with focus on emerging areas like oceanography, maritime history, maritime laws, maritime security, search and rescue, transportation of dangerous cargo, environmental studies and other related fields, and to achieve excellence in these areas. 

IMU will conduct a Common Entrance Test (IMU-CET) on all India basis for admission in   different courses except BBA .

COURSE DETAILS

• 1. Two years trade course with practical training on board deep sea fishing vessel out at sea and these Courses are introduced by Directorate General of Training, Government of India, New Delhi under Craftsmen Training Scheme of NCVT
•  2. The courses are conducted at CIFNET Kochi/Chennai/Visakhapatnam and these courses are Residential courses.

ELIGIBILITY:

• Pass in 10th Standard with 40% marks in Mathematics and Science separately and the candidates who are appearing for 10th exams during 2024 are also eligible.
• AGE : 15to 20 yrs as on 1st August 2024.Upper Age is relaxable to SC/ST by 5years

• It is a five-year degree program for bright and motivated science students who have passed class 10+2 or equivalent. Most IISERs offer BS-MS (Dual Degree) in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics. Earth and Environmental Sciences is available at select IISERs. • The BS-MS program integrates classroom learning with research and provides ample scope for multidisciplinary interactions. The program consists of core courses in basic sciences and specialization in chosen subjects along with an MS research project. The training during this program enables students to pursue careers in academia, R&D institutes, and industries.
• Additionally, IISER Bhopal offers four year BS programmes in Economics and Engineering Sciences. Mathematics at 10+2 level is mandatory for candidates seeking admission to both these BS programmes

• Application Fee

  The application fee is to be paid by the applicant during the submission of the application form, starts on April 01, 2024.

Eligibility

• Overall Eligibility criteria

  • Applicants must be Indian nationals, PIO or OCI to apply for IAT 2024.

  • The candidates must have passed the Class XII or equivalent level examination in 2022 or 2023 or 2024 from any board recognized by the Council of Boards of School Education in India COBSE.

  • Candidates must have taken at least three subjects among Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics during their Class XII (or equivalent) examination.

  • Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD require to score a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade in their Class XII (or equivalent) examination. Candidates belonging to other categories require to score a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade in their Class XII (or equivalent) examination.

  NOTE: The students from the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE), from Kashmir division/Winter Zone areas of Jammu division and the U.T. of Ladakh, who appeared in their Class XII or equivalent level examination in Dec 2021, are also eligible to apply for the IAT 2024, provided they satisfy all the other eligibility criteria.

  During the application process, these students must pick 2022 as their year of passing the class 12 examination.

  Admission to IISERs

  Admission to IISERs is exclusively through the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT), which is a computer-based test scheduled on Sunday, June 09, 2024 at 9:00 AM, at various centres across the country.

  Performance Criteria in Class XII/equivalent examination

  • Candidates whose Class XII (or equivalent) examination results have not yet been declared, can apply for IAT 2024. However, their admission will be subject to fulfilling the minimum eligibility criteria given above.
  • For candidates who had appeared in the Class XII (or equivalent) examination for the first time in 2023 and reappeared in any subject (for whatever reason) in 2024, the better of two performances will be considered.
  • If a board gives aggregate marks considering both Class XI and Class XII, then only Class XII (or equivalent) examination marks will be considered. If a board gives aggregate marks considering the results of all three years of a 3-year diploma or courses of equivalent duration, then only the marks scored in the final year will be considered. Similarly, the marks scored in the final two semesters will be considered for boards that follow a semester system.

  • If a board awards only letter grades without providing an equivalent percentage of marks on the grade-sheet, the candidate should obtain a certificate from the board specifying the equivalent marks and submit it before the deadline of the mark-sheet submission. In case the board does not provide such a certificate, the percentage marks will be assessed as follows:

            percentage marks = (CGPA or CPI obtained × 100) / PS, 
    

  where PS is the maximum value of the point scale used by the respective board.

• Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF)

  The Seat Acceptance Fee is to be paid only after an offer of admission has been made to the candidate. The SAF will have to be paid as per the category entered by the candidate in the application.

  • Rs. 35,000/- (Rs. 25,000/- + Rs. 10,000/- (Non refundable administrative fee)) for General/EWS/OBC/OBC-NCL/PwD/KM categories.
  • Rs. 17,500/- (Rs. 12,500/- + Rs. 5000/- (Non refundable administrative fee)) for SC/ST categories.
  • Failure to deposit the SAF within the stipulated time will result in the cancellation of the offer. Furthermore, you will not be considered in any subsequent rounds of seat allotment during admission 2024.
  • Once you register in your allotted IISER, this amount will be adjusted against your first semester fee.

Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) is an academic institute of national importance as recognised by a 1959 act of the Indian parliament.It grew out of the Statistical Laboratory set up by Prasanta Chandra Mahalanobis in Presidency College, Kolkata. Chennai Mathematical Institute is a centre of excellence for teaching and research in the mathematical sciences. NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF SCIENCCE EDUCATION AND RESEARCH (NISER)&DEPARTMENT OF ATOMIC ENERGY CENTRE FOR EXCELLENCE IN BASIC SCIENCES(UM-DAE CEBS)

       National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) is a compulsory test for students seeking admission to National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar and University of Mumbai - Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CEBS), Mumbai. Both NISER and UM-DAE CEBS were set up by Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India in 2007. Their mandate is to train scientific manpower for carrying out cutting edge scientific research and for providing input to scientific programmes of Department of Atomic Energy and other applied science institutions in the country. NEST 2024 will be conducted in around 120 cities [see list] cities across India.

TThe candidates admitted to the programme in NISER, or CEBS, are eligible to receive an annual scholarship of Rs 60,000 through the DISHA program of the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India. In addition, the scholarship recipients receive a grant of Rs 20,000 per annum for the summer internship. Alumni of the programme are presently pursuing Ph.D. at reputed universities and institutes in India & abroad. Besides, top performers at NISER and CEBS, securing overall grades above a certain threshold at the end of the programme, are eligible to appear directly for the interview for admission to Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) training school.

COURSES OFFERD

• NISER offers a 5 year integrated M.Sc. programme in Biological, Chemical, Mathematical and Physical sciences. Along with the major subject, a student can have minor in Biology, Chemistry, Computer science, Mathematics or, Physics. NISER functions from its campus at Jatni. Degrees at NISER will be awarded by the Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI), a deemed-to-be University within the Department of Atomic Energy.

• There are a total of 200 seats this year, which include reserved seats for SC/ST/OBC/Divyangjan candidates as per Government norms. 2 supernumerary seats are reserved for eligible candidates from J&K and Ladakh. If offered admission under the OBC-NCL category, the candidate must produce the relevant valid certificate on the date of admission. Eligibility criteria for admission

• Candidates must qualify all four eligibility criteria listed below:

  • The candidates who have cleared the 12th Standard examination or equivalent in 2022, 2023 or those who will be appearing for the 12th Standard examination or equivalent in 2024, irrespective of category and age, will be considered to be eligible for admission to the Integrated M.Sc. programme of NISER/CEBS in 2024.

    At least 60% marks in aggregate (or equivalent grade) in Class XII examination from any recognized Board in India. For Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) candidates and for Divyangjan candidates, the minimum requirement is 55%.

    Candidate should secure a position in the NEST 2024 merit list.

ഇന്ത്യയിലെ വിവിധ കാർഷിക യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റികളിലെ അഗ്രികൾച്ചർ ,ഹോർട്ടികൾച്ചർ ഫിഷറീസ് തുടങ്ങിയ കോഴ്സുകൾക്ക് 15-20% സീറ്റുകളിലേക്ക് അഡ്മിഷൻ നേടുന്നതിനുള്ള പൊതു പ്രവേശനപരീക്ഷക്ക് അപേക്ഷിക്കാം. ഈ വര്ഷം NTA നടത്തുന്ന CUET പൊതുപ്രവേശന പരീക്ഷയുടെ അടിസ്ഥാനത്തിലാണ് അഡ്മിഷൻ നടത്തുന്നത് . ICAR UG AIEEA പരീക്ഷക്കു പകരമായി CUET ICAR UG ആയിരിക്കും .

•            In 2024, All India Entrance Examination for Admission, CUET (ICAR-UG) shall be conducted for admission to Bachelor Degree programmes in Agriculture and Allied Sciences (other than Veterinary Sciences), at Agricultural Universities on 15/20% of the University seats [100% seats in RLBCAU Jhansi, NDRI Karnal, IARI New Delhi and its Hubs (Karnal-IIWBR, Patna-RCER, Umiam-RCNEH, Kolkata-CRIJAF, Cuttack-NRRI, Ranchi-IIAB, Hyderabad-IIRR, Nagpur - CICR, Bhopal-CIAE, Baramati-NIASM, Lucknow-IISR, Jharkhand-IARI, Assam-IARI, Raipur- NIBSM) and Dr. RPCAU Pusa, Bihar].
• Common University Entrance Test (CUET (UG) – 2024) will be conducted in 13 mediums across India for admission into the Undergraduate Programmes in Hybrid (Pen & Paper / CBT) mode for all the Central Universities (CUs) and participating Universities in India for the academic year 2024-25. 
• There is no provision of direct nomination for admission through ICAR in any Bachelor
  degree programme without qualifying in CUET (ICAR-UG)-2024. 
• Degree Programmes available for Admission in 2023-24.
• During academic session 2024-25, admission to 11 Bachelor degree programmes of four
  years duration is available to Indian Nationals based on the merit-rank in CUET (ICAR-UG)- 2024. Candidates may note that all Undergraduate Degrees in the disciplines of Agricultural Sciences have been declared as professional degrees and are detailed as under:
