NIT MCA COMMON ENTRANCE TEST 2020
NIMCET-2020
National Institutes of Technology (NITs) are Institutions of National Importance Under MHRD, Govt. of India. The NIMCET is a Common Entrance National Level Test, conducted by any of the NITs ,for admission in to their MCA programme. The MCA programme is offered by NITs at Agartala, Allahabad, Bhopal, Calicut, Jamshedpur, Kurukshetra, Raipur, Surathkal, Tiruchirappalli and Warangal .The admission into the MCA programme for the year 2020-21 in above 10 NITs is based on the Rank obtained in NIMCET-2020 only.
Admission to the M.C.A. programme of the ten participating NITs is done through a common entrance test NIMCET. Candidates must apply for NIMCET-2020 through ‘Online’ only and they must follow the instructions strictly as given in the NIMCET-2020.

Eligibility Criteria to Appear For NIMCET-2020
  • Indian Nationals securing at least 60% marks in aggregate or 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale (55% marks or 6.0 CGPA on a 10-point scale in case of SC/ ST/PwD) in
  • B.Sc. / B.Sc. (Hons) / BCA / BIT / B.Voc. (Computer Science/ Computer Applications) of minimum three years full-time programme from a recognized University with Mathematics/ Statistics as one of the subjects
  • OR (ii) B.E./ B.Tech. from a recognized University
  • Candidates who are appearing for the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply for NIMCET-2020

Summer Internships 2020

IIT Palakkad, has a summer internship program which aims at introducing undergraduate and postgraduate students to research so as to enthuse them, and to get them interested in a career in teaching and research. The program is for six-weeks and it combines hands-on research training with a variety of hardware and software analysis tools. 
Eligibility
  • Science, Engineering and Humanities: The programme is open to postgraduate students (including 4th and 5th year students of integrated master’s programs) and those who are in the 3rd and 4th year of their B.Tech degree).
Application process

  • The application is to be submitted online at the portal available at the homepage of IIT Palakkad. 
  • Selection will be made on the basis of academic record, aptitude for research, accomplishments and area(s) of research interest.
  • Please note the following:
  • Only those who satisfactorily complete the programme will be given the internship certificate.
  •  Financial support of Rs. 6000/- per month (Rs. 9000/- for the entire period) will be provided to all the selected candidates.
