The
Indian Institute of Science, a leading institution of higher learning
with a strong tradition of research, offers a four-year Bachelor of
Science (Research) Programme which is designed as a balanced blend of
core science and interdisciplinary topics to serve as a platform for
attractive career opportunities in academia and industry. Students who
complete the requirements for the award of the Bachelor of Science
(Research) degree will have the option of getting a Master of Science
degree by studying at the Institute for a fifth year.
ELIGIBILITY
1.Bachelor of Science
- Candidates who have completed their 10+2 (or equivalent) examination in 2021 and also those who are expecting to complete their 10+2 (or equivalent)examination in 2022.
- The candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects in their qualifying exam along with any other subjects..
- The candidates must have secured a first-class or 60% or equivalent grade (relaxed to pass class for SC/ST candidates) in the qualifying examination (i.e., 10+2 or equivalent)
SELECTION
Based on the merit list of one of the following national examinations:
- Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY)
(a) KVPY-2020, Stream-SA or
(b)KVPY-2021, Stream-SX or
(c) KVPY-2021, Stream-SB
Candidates selected through Empowerment Initiative (SC/ST categories). - (d)KVPY-2020, Stream-SA or
(e) KVPY-2021, Stream-SX - JEE Main -2022
- JEE Advance-2022
- NEET(UG)-2022
- Note: Candidate must be qualified in any one of the exams mentioned above, and the exam result must be valid as on 01 August 2022.
2.B.Tech Mathematics and Computing
Student must have cleared class XII or equivalent from a recognized board with the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, a language, and any subject other than the above four.
Selection Procedure:Based on valid Rank inJEE (Advanced) National Entrance Exam 2022

Application Fee
- The application fee is Rs. 500/- for GN/EWS/OBC/KM candidates
- Rs. 250/- for SC/ST/PwD categories.
